The iPhone app that turns car rides into class time
“Mom, how much longer?” — “About two episodes of Animal Kingdom.”
So what is this app?
Our family's video lessons and audio stories live in iCloud Drive folders. CarSchool turns those folders into a player designed for the car.
Before you pull out of the driveway, tell it: “Plan 40 minutes — science first, then Bible stories.” The AI builds the playlist: fixed order, each episode at most once, just enough for the ride.
Your own content
Indexes videos straight from Files and iCloud Drive — everything in it was put there by Mom and Dad.
AI lesson plans
One sentence becomes a fixed playlist, like a class schedule. It plays in order and stays on track.
Remembers progress
Every episode picks up where it left off. No scrubbing around to find your spot.
Built for the road
AirPlay to the car screen, and whole playlists can be copied for offline use — mountain roads with no signal included.
Our family's philosophy
The car is a classroom too
The drive to co-op, the highway to Grandma's — for a homeschool family, “home” is sometimes moving at 65 mph. Time is a gift from God; that includes traffic.
The recommendation algorithm is Mom
No feeds, no infinite scroll, no “you might also like.” What to watch, how long, in what order — parents decide beforehand. The kids just press play.
Simple enough for the back seat
Big buttons, a fixed list, and when it's done, it's done. It's a tool, not a playground — when class is over, go look at the mountains out the window.
Can I use it yet?
Yes! CarSchool is in open public beta — our family already uses it daily. Chief testers: the three in the back seat.
